What is a Web Service?
ZIPFOURce is BCC's first offering in the category "Web service," a term for any Internet-based API using XML for application-to-application
communications. Web services provide an interface accessible by applications via the Web, and they're also platform independent-so they can
be accessed by any application capable of performing http requests and receiving http responses. As a result, Web services can be integrated
with nearly all modern programming languages and no local software installations are required.
