Week of December 20 — Login Live: A New Training Option
BCC customers will have a new Classroom Workshop training option in 2011.
Week of December 13 — Updated Processing Acknowledgement Form (PAF)
The USPS® requires all NCOALink® users, when submitting a new/renewal PAF, to use the most up-to-date version of the form.
Week of December 6 — Does a Senator Have a Solution to the Postal Service's™ Woes?
While the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) rejected the USPS's exigent rate case, it was widely acknowledged — by both the PRC and government officials — that it is vital that the USPS make operational changes in order to end its ever-increasing monetary losses.
November 2010
Week of November 29 — BCC Software System Upgrade Canceled
The eBulletin for the week of November 1-5 stated that Data Services would be closed from 12:00am ET Sunday, December 5 to 8:00am ET Monday, December 6 for a system upgrade. This upgrade has been postponed, so operations will take place as normal and jobs submitted will be processed with no delays.
Week of November 15 — Tech Tip: Canceling Data Services Jobs
Sometimes plans change and Data Services jobs need to be canceled. When such occasions arise, it is important to contact the Data Services department to ensure that your job is canceled at BCC.

On September 30, the Postal Rate Commission (PRC) rejected the USPS request for an exigent rate increase, largely because it failed to meet the rate increase requirements set by Congress.

Last week, BCC Product Managers Mitch Carpenter and Karen Birmingham attended the local Greater Rochester PCC Day event to hear presentations from USPS® Postmaster General John Potter (visit Mailing Industry News for a recap of his speech) and other mailers on the state of the industry.
Week of September 13 — Staying Compliant With eDocumentation and Mail.dat
Last week, the Postal Service™ sent out an update announcing new standards, effective January 2, 2011, that will require mailers preparing comailed or copalletized mailings—or mail owners who contribute mailpieces to a consolidated comailed or copalletized mailing—to submit electronic documentation to the USPS® PostalOne!® system by an approved method.

The BCC Software Support team often receives calls shortly after the bimonthly updates are shipped regarding a few common installation issues, which could deactivate your ZIP+4 data and change your Mail Manager software "ZIP4" Status Bar from Green to Red, until you reinstall the encoding data correctly.
