Bell and Howell BCC, LLC History

BCC Software was founded in 1978 by K. Jon Runstrom and delivered mailing technology solutions under the BCC name for over 30 years. BCC was purchased by BÖWE BELL + HOWELL in 2005. In 2011, Versa Capital Management, Inc. acquired the assets of BÖWE BELL + HOWELL and BCC and formed a new company, Bell and Howell, LLC, to operate the business. Bell and Howell continues to offer BCC's innovative products and services for professional mailers of all sizes and specialties.

2011

  • BCC becomes Bell and Howell

2009

  • Opened Onalaska, WI office
  • BCC begins executive transition

2008

  • Over 40 BCC employees are USPS MQC Certified
  • Launched Mail Manager Full Service program
  • BCC increases staff by 30% to prepare for future growth and industry changes

2007

  • Executive Vice President Chris Lien, a nationally recognized expert on a wide array of postal issues, joins BCC from SAP Business Objects, one of BCC's largest competitors

2006

  • Added NCOALink FSP licensing

2005

  • Acquired by BÖWE BELL + HOWELL with condition that BCC would continue to operate independently

2001

  • Released Mail Manager LE for broader appeal

  • Retired MS-DOS based Mail Manager 2000

1998

  • Introduced PC–based Mail Manager 2010

1997

  • Moved to current 18,000 sq ft facility, added Fiber Optic T3 data line

1996

  • Classification Reform hits mailing industry
  • BCC among 1st PAVE certified companies
  • Customer base doubles over summer
  • First to offer integrated Move Update Processing

  • Cheshire acquired by Videojet
